Mini Remodel?

I'm not even sure what you'd call it. I just slightly rearranged/bought new stuff for the TV area. I'm liking the way it looks.
Here's the before:

This is how rednecks find a stud without a stud finder......the old fashion way! LOL

And the after.

It's not much and it probably isn't blog-worthy material, but I'm happy with it and it's my blog, so there. :-P LOL (My only "issue" with it is that my T.V. isn't centered on the wall BUT I didn't have much of a choice in that matter; for stability sake, it needs a stud and that's where one was found {hence the middle picture showing all the holes LOL}. I'm also going to get one of those chord hiders so those won't be exposed.....just haven't gotten them yet.)

Mom's Nurturing Moms Night

Last month, I went to my first Mom's Nurturing Moms night at my church. My sister-in-law and friend have been going for quite awhile and kept trying to get me to join and I finally relented.

Mom's Nurturing Moms is a monthly get together of, well, Moms. LOL They have different activities, speakers and just have fun together.

This past month's activity was Pinterest creations.

Harvest Fun Day

(Playing catch up now and will be for the next several posts :-).)
Back in November, I volunteered in McKayla's classroom for their Fall Harvest Fun Day. They had different activities in each center and the kids rotated through each one.

My center was "Thanksgiving Dinner". I had a lot of food pictures cut out from magazines, paper plates and glue. The kids picked through the pictures and made their Thanksgiving dinner. Some kids went all out with all kinds of varieties, while others went with just sweets. I had to cut off a couple kids b/c they just kept adding and adding pictures, to the point they were covering up their previously glued pictures. LOL Then I had some that only had 1 or 2 items glued and no amount of push from me would change their mind. (I wished I'd gotten pictures of their plates, some of the creativity was pretty cool, but my hands were a little full LOL).

My friend Amy had the Turkey table. They made these cute little turkeys from oreo cookies,…

Happy Valentine's Day!

This Valentine's Day, I decided to get a little creative, so I had McKayla make Daddy a Valentine's card (or 4, as you'll see LOL). I'd first gotten this idea from Pinterest:

So simple. So cheap! You don't have to go out and buy all kinds of equipment and if you have kids, you seem to acquire these rather quickly. LOL

A little behind

Hi folks!

I want to apologize for the sporadic posts here lately. It's not for a lack of things to blog about either, more like a lack of time to blog. I have over 20 drafts going with more in my head just waiting to be typed out. Things have just been so chaotic around here lately. You'd think that with it being winter and not being very fun weather to be out in, I'd have more time but it seems like I have even less time! How does that happen? Oh wait, kids. And critters. Oh, and a husband. That's where all my time goes LOL

I have Christmas(!) to blog about still, my Great Niece's 2nd birthday party at Chuck E. Cheeses, snow pictures, new car announcement (!), my normal ramblings and many, many more posts. I have pictures galore to share also.

I don't do much in the way of New Year's Resolutions, mainly b/c I fail in them but I'd hoped one of them would be more regular blogging (and not just Monthly Measure posts). Maybe I'll get better with that.…

Monthly Measure 2/1

Not off to a good start this year:

Gained 7 lbs :-(
1/2 gain in bust
1/2 gain in waist
lost an inch in hips

Only losing 3 lbs and then gaining all that back and then some. :-(. Oh well, you win some and lose some.....or in this case, you gain some or lose some. I won't let that discourage me too bad tho, after all, it's not like it's thousands of pounds, it can be lost easily again, right? :-)

(Just a little side note but this is my 200th blog post! :-D )
