Weekend Wrap-up ~ Dec. 13 & 14

This weekend was a busy one for McKayla. Her Children's choir had a weekend long Christmas performance titled A Night of Hope at church. They had a show Friday night, 2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday. McKayla wanted (and did) all 5 shows.
Friday, the first show, Grandpa, Chris, me and John all went to see the performance. Partially to see how long the performance was to see if McKayla could physically do it but also b/c we wanted to see her sing.
It was TWO hours long! Yikes! It was great but too long. Luckily, the Children's Choir part was only on stage for about 30 minutes. There's no way McKayla or any of the other kids could've stayed still the entire 2 hours.

We didn't watch any of the other performances the rest of the week but dutifully took McKayla so she could perform. Both Saturday and Sunday's performances were at 4 and then 7, so we'd drop her off about 3:30 and then pick her up at 8. They fed them, played games and watched movies in between the …

Furry Friday ~ Zoo Trip Part IIII

My fourth and final Furry Friday ~ Zoo Trip post. Hope it was fun seeing our trip through the Zoo and it gave me something to have for several Furry Friday's :-D (Part I, Part II and Part III)
Not much of anything to say as a workup towards this weeks pictures, so I'll just quit jabbering and get to sharing.
Enjoy! :-D

It was pretty cool how close this Tiger was to the viewing area but it took FOREVER to get to see him clearly b/c they were so many people crowded around. He just lay there the whole time, looking around.

The Gorilla enclosure was a pretty popular area too. So much to the point that they had a few employees milling around and reminding the crowd that once they had taken their pictures, to move along so the next mass of people could see.

This guy/gal was just down right heartbreaking to see. He/she just sat there, like that and ever so often would look our way and then turn his/her head back. :-(

These guys cracked me up. They reminded me of a bunch of teenager…

Kindergarten Field Trip!!

(Since this happened back in September and I'm posting this on a Thursday, would that make this a Throwback Thursday post? LOL)

Back before Halloween, McKayla had her very first Kindergarten field trip. Some of y'all will know that this was technically her 2nd field trip as she went to the Apple Orchard when she was in Pre-K last year but this was her first REAL field trip.

THIS time she got to ride the school bus. WithOUT me (no room for parents, so we had to drive up). Yup, you read that right. She rode the big school bus with the other kids. I'm pretty sure that was her favorite part of the whole trip. LOL

The field trip was to the local Pumpkin Patch where we met farm animals:

We took a hayride to the Pumpkin Patch to pick pumpkins:

And also played on the obstacle course and playground. We were only there for a couple of hours, but we ran nonstop and she was wore slap out.
She was so thrilled to get to go on her first field trip in "real" school and the fact…

Young Living ~ Diffusing Fun!

I'm sooo loving my Young Living oils. They've been so great for my family and the smells are amazing! And I'm even more in love with my Young Living Diffuser! This thing is fantastic! You just add distilled water and a few drops of whatever oils you'd like, and bam! you have a fantastic smell wafting through your house and it contains none of those nasty chemicals! It purifies the air, clears up sinuses and just smells good! (It also lights up a pretty purple when it's's the little things. ☺)

I've diffused quite a few different oils since I received my kit. Purification is the one I diffuse the most. I just love the way it smells and it also freshens up the air......especially when the dogs have decided to mess in the house. :-( I also diffuse Thieves from time to time if there's a cold running rampant and it's also beneficial when we have a house full of people......helps to keep those cold bugs at bay.

On Thanksgiving, I diffused my H…

Weekend Wrap-Up ~ Dec. 6 & 7

Phew! What a whirlwind weekend! Prepare for a picture overload (and believe me when I say that I'm not sharing even half of what I actually took LOL) and a very lengthy post but we just had an epic weekend and I had to share! ☺
On Friday, McKayla's school was having a Parent's Night Out to allow parents to do some Christmas shopping. John and I are already done with the kid's shopping (wahoo!) but McKayla still wanted to go. They had movies, games and snacks. Duh! Of course she wanted to go! LOL So we dropped her off and had a date night instead. :-D
On Saturday, we went to the mall for pictures with Santa!!! You'll have to forgive me for not sharing those right now but I don't want Meme, Grandpa or any other recipients to see them just yet. ;-) I will say that the pictures came out extremely adorable and I can't wait to share with you. ☺
Saturday night was the Christmas Parade! Yahoo! :-D
Who's ready for a LOT of pictures??? LOL

This one cracked me up…
